Jeremy Shockley (b. 1982) considers painting a form of storytelling. Influenced by the literary techniques of magical realist writers, he renders impossible-seeming elements in mundane situations in a matter-0f-fact way. He hails from Travelers Rest, SC, and he lives and works in Los Angeles.
